The Center
HSCCC is in the design phase of a new privately-owned Center that will house several direct service providers under one roof to offer our unhoused neighbors coordinated wrap-around care. Being connected in this way, service providers will be more supported (and thereby efficient and effective) in providing homeless Clackamas County residents the resources they need to get vital care and find stable, affordable housing. Through providing direct service providers with additional support they need, the administrative burden is taken off their shoulders so they can focus on best supporting the unhoused community. The CFenters are a proven way to support unhoused communities.
The Center will be located in the Two Rivers neighborhood of Oregon City. Funded through HSCCC and its generous donors, its proposed tenants include two of Oregon City’s most trusted service providers: The Father’s Heart and LoveOne. These local service providers have a demonstrated ability to build a culture of trust with both our housed and unhoused neighbors. Other service provider tenants will be identified as the project progresses.
Designed to be aesthetically pleasing to clients, tenants and neighbors, the Center will be a place that fosters safety, collaboration and mutual problem-solving. The Center will have meeting space available to the entire community to host events, educational seminars, meetings, and more. This is not a shelter, but emergency beds will occasionally be available during extreme weather events.
