HSCCC envisions a shared-space where local service providers, public safety officials, health care professionals, faith-based organizations, educators and governmental agencies can come together under one roof to collaboratively address the systemic issues of homelessness.
In a county as large and diverse as Clackamas, it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture. Services can be piecemeal, scattered and logistically uncoordinated due in part to issues related to funding and staffing. Our vision is to bring together major stakeholders, and help them act in a coordinated and efficient manner.
The Resource Center will house several direct service providers and offer space for like-minded partners to use as an extension of their work. Under one roof, we will be able to more efficiently offer our homeless neighbors services such as behavioral and physical health, transportation support, legal support, showers, job training, links to permanent housing, and more.
The Resource Center’s proposed tenants include two of our community’s most trusted service providers: The Father’s Heart and LoveOne. These local service providers have been selected by HSCCC because of their demonstrated ability to build a culture of trust with both our housed and unhoused neighbors.
Designed to be aesthetically pleasing to clients, tenants and neighbors, the Resource Center will be a place that fosters safety, collaboration and mutual problem-solving. It will be open and accessible to the community it serves.
